Iron overload may harm liver years after stem cell transplant

Summary

This study looks at whether too much iron in the body raises the risk of liver problems in people who had a stem cell transplant more than 10 years ago. About 500 adults will be checked with blood tests and a special liver scan. The goal is to find out if treating iron overload can prevent liver damage later on.
