First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding an iPACK nerve block to a standard adductor canal block can lower the body's inflammatory response and improve pain control after hip replacement surgery. It involves 60 older adults (ages 65-100) who are scheduled for hip replacement under spinal anesthesia. The main goal is to measure inflammation through blood tests and see if the extra block helps reduce surgical stress.
