Cash for glucose control: new study pays teens to manage diabetes

Summary

This study tests whether offering financial rewards helps teenagers with type 1 diabetes improve their blood sugar management. About 96 teens who use continuous glucose monitors will either get usual care or earn money for meeting self-care and glucose goals. Researchers will compare changes in glucose levels and how teens and their caregivers feel about the program.
