New hope for stomach cancer spread: chemo combo tested in 55 patients

Summary

This study tests a new way to give chemotherapy for stomach cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen. The drug irinotecan is given directly into the belly along with standard chemo drugs. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and doable for patients. About 55 adults with this type of cancer will take part in three hospitals in the Netherlands.
