First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a single dose of radiation directly to the tumor site during breast-conserving surgery can reduce fatigue compared to the standard 3-6 weeks of whole-breast radiation. The trial enrolls 202 women aged 50 or older with low-risk, early-stage breast cancer. The main goal is to measure fatigue levels 12 weeks after treatment using a standard questionnaire.
