First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether a special needle therapy (intradermal needles placed at specific points on the body) can reduce pain after a stomach procedure called endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). 76 patients were randomly assigned to receive either standard care or standard care plus the needle therapy. Researchers measured pain levels and side effects over 72 hours after surgery to see if the needles helped.
