First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how common Helicobacter pylori infection is in people newly diagnosed with stomach cancer in Martinique. Researchers will collect tumor samples, healthy tissue, and blood to build a biobank. The goal is to understand why stomach cancer is more common in the West Indies than in France and to identify other risk factors, like environmental pollutants, to improve prevention. About 112 adults with stomach cancer will take part.
