First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times

This study tests whether short, controlled sessions of low oxygen (intermittent hypoxia) can improve blood flow to the brain and thinking skills in adults aged 60-85 with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare the effects of this training against a placebo in 80 participants. The goal is to find a new way to protect brain health as people age with diabetes.
