First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study explores whether time-restricted intermittent fasting can help non-obese adults with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) reduce liver fat without medication. About 25 participants with a BMI between 23 and 30 will follow a scheduled eating pattern, and researchers will measure changes in liver fat using advanced imaging. The goal is to find a simple, lifestyle-based treatment for a condition that currently has few effective options.
