High-Dose arm therapy tested to help stroke survivors regain movement

NCT ID NCT05527262

Summary

This study tested whether two different intensive arm rehabilitation programs could improve arm movement and function for people who had a stroke at least six months ago. 105 participants were randomly assigned to either a 90-hour in-person therapy program, a high-tech gaming-based therapy program, or a waitlist group that received usual care. The goal was to see which approach worked best to help people regain the use of their affected arm in daily life.
