First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested whether extra occupational therapy helps people who had a first-time stroke become more independent in basic daily activities like dressing, eating, and bathing. Twenty participants received either standard or intensified therapy. Researchers measured improvements using a scale that rates motor and process skills. The goal was to see if more therapy leads to better recovery.
