New implant aims to reduce re-tears in shoulder injuries

Summary
This study tests a special implant designed to support healing after surgery for torn rotator cuff tendons in the shoulder. About 150 adults will receive the implant during their operation. Researchers will check how often the tendon re-tears within a year using MRI scans, and also measure shoulder function and pain relief.
