Summary
This study aims to understand why some people develop insulin resistance, a condition that can lead to diabetes and other health problems. Researchers will collect blood and sometimes skin samples from about 1,200 people, including those with severe insulin resistance, their family members, and healthy volunteers. By comparing these groups, they hope to discover the genetic and biological reasons behind these conditions to guide future treatments.
