First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how the hormone glucagon helps the liver manage blood sugar, which could lead to better diabetes treatments. Forty healthy adults aged 18-45 will have two 5-hour sessions where they get either glucagon or a saltwater drip. Researchers will measure how the liver responds to insulin and glucagon together.
