Weekly insulin shots tested to boost brain power in Alzheimer's patients

NCT ID NCT07265323

Summary

This study is testing whether giving insulin in short weekly sessions can improve how the body uses sugar and help with thinking and memory problems in people with Alzheimer's disease. Eight adults with Alzheimer's will receive the insulin treatment once a week for six months while researchers check their brain function and insulin sensitivity. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and if it can help control some symptoms of the disease.
