First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether 5 units of insulin works as well as 10 units for lowering dangerously high potassium levels in adults. Researchers measured potassium levels two hours after treatment in 384 participants. The goal is to find a dose that is effective but reduces the risk of low blood sugar, a common side effect of insulin.
