First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares three common insomnia treatments—trazodone, daridorexant, and online cognitive behavioral therapy—in 1,000 women aged 40-62 who are in perimenopause or early menopause. Participants take nightly medication or complete a behavioral program for 12 months, tracking sleep with a Fitbit and daily diaries. The goal is to find which therapy is safest and most effective for improving sleep during menopause.
