Summary
This study looked at whether checking blood thickness weekly with a finger-prick device is better than monthly lab tests for frail elderly nursing home residents taking blood thinners. The goal was to see which method keeps blood levels in a safe range more consistently, reducing the risk of clots or bleeding. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
