New combo therapy shows promise for older leukemia patients

Summary
This study tests whether adding a targeted drug called inotuzumab to standard chemotherapy can better control B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoma in adults aged 60 and older. The targeted drug attaches to cancer cells and delivers a toxin to kill them. The trial aims to see if the combination helps keep the cancer from coming back longer than chemotherapy alone.
