Summary
This study aimed to understand why people with Parkinson's disease often have severe balance and walking problems that don't improve with standard medications. Researchers tested 60 people with Parkinson's to see if these issues might be linked to changes in the inner ear's balance system, rather than just the brain changes typically associated with Parkinson's. They used specialized balance tests and brain scans to explore this possible connection.
