NCT ID NCT07320898
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether injecting a substance made from a patient's own blood (called i-PRF) into the gums around an infected tooth could improve healing. Sixty adults with chronic tooth infections received standard root canal treatment; half also got the i-PRF injection. Researchers measured two healing-related proteins in fluid samples from the teeth before and after treatment to see if the injection made a difference.
