First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether using common asthma inhalers for 4 weeks can affect blood vessels and heart function in healthy people aged 18 to 40. Participants used either Ventolin, Symbicort, or a placebo inhaler and underwent lung tests, exercise tests, and ultrasound scans. The goal was to understand potential cardiovascular risks of long-term inhaler use, not to treat any disease.
