First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 31, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a daily inhaled medicine (fluticasone and salmeterol) could improve lung function in children aged 6–17 who had a stem cell transplant and showed early signs of lung decline. The goal was to prevent a serious lung condition called bronchiolitis obliterans. The trial was stopped early, but earlier research suggests this approach might help stabilize breathing.
