First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if breathing in nitric oxide gas could improve blood flow in the lungs of people with a serious pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung). It planned to include 20 adults at one hospital, measuring heart and lung pressures before, during, and after the gas was given. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
