New inhaler tested to ease lung strain in severe COPD

NCT ID NCT07263958

Summary

This study is testing whether an inhaled medication called iloprost is safe and effective for treating high blood pressure in the lungs of adults with severe COPD. Researchers want to see if the drug lowers pressure in the lung's blood vessels and helps people walk farther. Fifteen participants will use the inhaler several times a day for 12 weeks and have their heart and lung function checked before and after treatment.
