Blood test may predict Kids' Post-Surgery confusion

NCT ID NCT07323485

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is looking at whether simple blood tests can help predict which children might become confused or agitated after waking up from anesthesia for circumcision. Researchers will check inflammation levels in the blood before surgery and watch for signs of delirium in the recovery room. The goal is to find an easy way to identify children at higher risk, so doctors can provide better care. The study involves 140 children aged 2 to 12.
