Gentle touch for tiny patients: can massage ease swelling in preemies?

NCT ID NCT07418814

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle daily massage can help reduce swelling (lymphedema) and improve comfort in premature babies in the intensive care unit. Researchers will compare babies receiving standard care to those who also get a 15-minute massage each day for two weeks. They will measure swelling in the arms and legs and check the babies' comfort levels to see if this simple, non-invasive therapy helps.
