First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at 100 infants leaving the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) to see if being able to eat a full bottle means they have fully developed feeding skills. Researchers will use a special tool to score feeding abilities like alertness, muscle tone, and swallowing. The goal is to better understand how to assess infant feeding readiness at discharge.
