Tracking tiny patients: major study launched on infant dialysis machine

NCT ID NCT05161078

Summary

This study aims to collect information on how a specialized dialysis machine (CARPEDIEM) works for critically ill infants with severe kidney problems. Researchers will observe about 1000 infants across multiple hospitals who are already receiving this treatment as part of their standard care. The goal is to learn how best to use the machine, understand typical treatment courses, and track survival and kidney recovery rates to improve future care.
