Can a gym routine soothe chronic pain and gut problems?

NCT ID NCT06166563

Summary

This study tested whether a supervised, indoor exercise program could improve symptoms for people with fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). For four months, 165 adult participants followed a twice-weekly gym routine of aerobic, strength, and flexibility exercises. Researchers measured changes in pain, fatigue, gut symptoms, mood, and markers of gut health to see if physical activity could help break the cycle of these chronic conditions.
