First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study compares an Indianized version of the Mediterranean diet to a standard low-fat diet in overweight children and teens (ages 8-18) with a fatty liver condition called MASLD. The goal is to see which diet better reduces liver fat over 180 days. Participants will follow one of the two diets and have their liver fat measured using a special ultrasound-like scan.
