Ear bud for seizures: new device aims to replace uncomfortable brain tests

NCT ID NCT07088835

Summary

This study is testing a new in-ear device called SeizEAR to see if it can safely and effectively monitor brain waves and detect seizures in people with epilepsy. Researchers will compare the device's readings to the standard method, which involves placing many electrodes on a person's scalp. The goal is to create a more comfortable, easier-to-use, and potentially more affordable option for long-term seizure monitoring.
