New radiation technique aims to spare bladder and bowel in endometrial cancer
NCT ID NCT01164150
First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether a newer, more precise radiation method called IMRT could reduce bowel and bladder side effects compared to standard 3D radiation in women who had surgery for high-risk endometrial cancer. About 92 participants were planned. The trial was stopped early, but the goal was to see if IMRT causes fewer urinary and digestive problems while still controlling the cancer.
