Cardiac ICU staff to test new teamwork training for safer patient care
NCT ID NCT07360366
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a special training program can help doctors, nurses, and assistants work better together in the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU). About 60 staff and students will take part in interactive, computer-based scenarios that mimic real-life situations. Researchers will measure teamwork, decision-making, and job satisfaction before training, right after, and six months later to see if the program makes a lasting difference.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
interactive scenario-based training program
What this could lead to
If successful, this training could improve teamwork and communication in cardiac ICUs, potentially leading to safer patient care.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-center study with only 60 participants. It measures attitudes and perceptions, not direct patient outcomes, so real-world impact is uncertain.
