VA tests new training to fix therapist drift, boost PTSD recovery

Summary

This study aims to find the most effective way to train therapists to deliver Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a proven treatment for PTSD. Researchers will test different training components and sequences with 240 VA mental health clinicians to see which methods help therapists follow the treatment protocol best. The goal is to create a personalized, adaptive training model that improves therapist skills and, ultimately, leads to better outcomes for Veterans with PTSD.
