New drug may ease dangerous liver pressure in hepatitis d patients

Summary
This study looks at whether the antiviral drug Bulevirtide can reduce high blood pressure in the liver (portal hypertension) in people with chronic hepatitis B and D and liver cirrhosis. High liver pressure is a major cause of complications in cirrhosis. The study will measure changes in liver pressure and quality of life in 11 participants over time.
