First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested a ready-to-use liquid called GM508 CultActive on 68 people who had poor fertilization or embryo quality in previous IVF cycles, or who were over 40 with low egg reserve. The goal was to see if treating eggs with this medium could improve fertilization rates and lead to more high-quality embryos. The approach uses calcium ionophore to activate eggs artificially, aiming to overcome fertilization problems.
