NCT ID NCT06369571
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether changing the type of fat eaten or adding a statin can safely lower high cholesterol in 22 adults with epilepsy who have been on a modified Atkins diet for at least a year. The goal is to reduce heart disease risk without causing more seizures or making it hard to stick with the diet. Participants will be followed for 12 weeks to track cholesterol changes, diet adherence, and seizure frequency.
