New system aims to speed up treatment for dangerous heart device infections
NCT ID NCT05471973
Summary
This project is testing a new team-based approach to improve care for people with infections in their implanted heart devices, like pacemakers. It aims to help doctors identify these infections earlier, follow treatment guidelines better, and remove infected devices more quickly. The study will involve about 200 patients and measure if the new system leads to faster, more appropriate care.
