Summary

This study looks at how well African American men newly diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer understand what their doctor tells them about treatment options and side effects. Researchers will give some patients an easy-to-read educational handout after their doctor visit and test if it improves their understanding. The goal is to find better ways to support informed decision-making in this group.
