Scientists spin blood to clear up critical test
NCT ID NCT07200674
Summary
This study aims to solve a common lab problem: cloudy blood samples from high fat levels can interfere with a critical test that monitors blood-thinning medications. Researchers will test if spinning blood samples at high speed can separate the fat, allowing for accurate measurement of the medication's effect. They will use 150 samples from patients on blood thinners to see if this simple centrifugation method works reliably.
