Summary

This study tested whether a coaching program called practice facilitation helps primary care doctors at one VA clinic provide better care for veterans with unhealthy alcohol use. The program aimed to increase brief counseling, medication prescriptions, and referrals to specialty treatment. 42 participants took part to see if care quality improved over time.
