NCT ID NCT06938789

First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether finding and treating bleeding early with blood transfusions can lower the risk of delirium (sudden confusion) in people 75 and older with hip fractures. About 198 participants will be randomly assigned to either early treatment or standard care. They will be monitored for delirium three times a day for two days after surgery and followed up at 30 and 90 days.
