First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether a personalized physical therapy program helps people recover better after ventral hernia repair. About 100 adults aged 18-75 with a hernia between 4-10 cm will be randomly assigned to either standard post-surgery care or a tailored 10-week PT program. Researchers will measure strength, quality of life, pain, and complications over one year to see if the tailored approach improves outcomes and reduces healthcare costs.
