New approach could help surgeons save organs in tough colon cancer cases
NCT ID NCT06215677
Summary
This study is testing whether giving immunotherapy drugs before surgery can help surgeons completely remove advanced colon tumors while preserving nearby organs. It focuses on patients whose cancer has a specific genetic feature that makes it respond poorly to standard chemotherapy but potentially well to immunotherapy. The goal is to see if this approach leads to better surgical outcomes and longer survival.
