Bladder cancer trial probes immune response before surgery

NCT ID NCT03978624

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looks at how two drugs, pembrolizumab and entinostat, change the immune system in people with muscle-invasive bladder cancer who cannot have standard chemotherapy. About 20 participants receive the drugs before their scheduled bladder removal surgery. The goal is to measure immune-related gene activity, not to treat the cancer directly.
