Scientists hunt for blood clues to better psychosis treatments
NCT ID NCT06687694
Summary
This study aims to understand how the body's immune system influences psychosis symptoms and how people respond to antipsychotic medications. Researchers will collect blood and spinal fluid samples from 500 people with psychosis symptoms who are starting or changing medications, plus a comparison group without mental health conditions. The goal is to find biological markers that could help doctors choose better treatments and track how well they work.
