New radioactive tracer could sharpen cancer detection

NCT ID NCT03604315

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study is testing a new radioactive tracer called [18F]FTT to see if it can make PET/CT scans better at finding solid tumors, like ovarian, breast, and other cancers. About 300 adults with known or suspected tumors will get an injection of the tracer and then have a scan. The goal is to see if the tracer highlights cancer cells more clearly than standard imaging, which could help doctors diagnose and monitor the disease.
