Brain scans reveal hidden inflammation in heavy drinkers

Summary

This study uses a special PET/CT scan to measure inflammation in the brain and body of people with alcohol use disorder compared to healthy volunteers. Up to 90 participants will receive one scan with an investigational tracer. The goal is to understand how alcohol affects inflammation, not to provide treatment.
