First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested a therapy called Imagery Rescripting (ImRs) in 81 adults aged 21-34 who had a high fear of failure. Over four sessions, participants worked on changing how they remember past criticism from parents. The researchers used brain scans and skin sensors to see if the therapy reduced fear reactions. Results were checked right after treatment and again at 3 and 6 months.
